I am asking for the support of WMCH to acquire an accomodation fee to travel from Cotonou to Ouidah, Ouidah-Cotonou and Data bundle subscription for 3 to 4 persons.

Planned activity:

  • Contributions on about 3 to 4 museums articles on fr.Wikipédia, Wikidata, Wikivoyages & Wikimedia Commons from Benin Portal.
  • Effective visit of 3 or 4 museums for 3/4 persons to take better quality pictures and interview the staffs of the museums to collect more information (draft model questions can be provided on demand).
  • 2 or 3 sessions meetings to debrief, compile, write and follow up the progression of the project (onboarding of the contributors & improvement of the skills of the 2 or 3 working companion on this project).
  • I will plan minimum 2 or 3 online meeting/reports with the mentors (see the list of endorsers below).
  • Planned execution is around one month from the date we will be in possession of the fees.
  • Transfer of experience to other Benin of African contributors on their Grants application processes.

  1. The project will improve the quality, reliability, and credibility of Wikipedia/Wikivoyages/Wikidata/Commons/... infos for these 3 / 4 museums
  1. This project - if grant is accepted, if the report is to the satisfaction of the WMCH sponsor and the team and the involved mentors - will serve as good model to later complete progressively the same work on other museums in Benin. Benin hosts african premium artefacts and cultural collections. Standardizing and increasing progressively the quality of infos on top museums.
  1. After implementation, dashboard and archives will be a "blue print" model to make qualitative contrbutions for other towns and African countries.

I participate in the Les sans pagEs , Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos contest in Benin 2021 and this grant will help me reach another experience level.
