Topics of interest edit

After the discussion held during the CEE meetup at the Wikimedia Conference 2017 the program committee decided that they will send out a survey which will allow local CEE communities to declare which topics are interesting to them, what they want to share and what to learn about during the CEE Meeting. The committee already gathered some topics but the list still may miss many. So please feel free to use the talk page to add, discuss, propose. Your input will be very valuable and will help us to create a good survey.

Based on survey's results the program committee decided that the following topics are to be taken into consideration when submitting the applications for lectures, workshops and discussion panels:

  1. Wikipedia & Education (Wikiworkshops and other methods of teaching how to edit wiki project / Wikipedia in education / using wikipedia and sister projects as an educational tool)
  2. Regional/international wiki projects (New CEE wide projects/contest)
  3. Volunteer support and Volunteer recruitment
  4. Management practices in Wikimedia affiliates (incl. grants funding and reporting)
  5. Real world events organization (editathons, meetings, camps, conferences, wiki expeditions)
  6. Wikidata and wikidata related projects
  7. Content Contests (Article writing contests/challenges, Photo contests)
  8. Partnerships (GLAM collaborations, Other institutional collaborations, Wiki Medicine projects? STEM?)
  9. Media outreach
  10. Legal and copyright issues and advocacy
  11. Conflict resolution + Community health
  12. Bridging the gender gap (both contribution and content)
