Abstract
This presentation will showcase the history of Wikimedia Serbia's Seminars of professional development for school teachers, as well as successes that we have achieved throughout the years. We have started more than 4 years ago with a grassroots effort to educate Serbia's educators about Wikipedia and wiki tools in general, so that they could use them in class. We have started our third version of the accredited course and we have a lot to share. I will explain what topics we cover in those seminars, what are the ways that we follow subsequent work and reconnect with participants, what are the greatest achievements of this program etc.
How does your proposal adds knowledge to the international community in Wikimedia and education?
People will be able to learn from our experiences and possibly try to adapt this to their own setting. I will demonstrate the simplicity of the project and the great impact it has provided to us.
Who is the intended ideal audience for the topic?
Wikipedians and Wikimedians, but also teachers and people involved in education in general
