Wikimania 2008/Bids/Atlanta/IRC minutes

There were sixteen planning meetings between August 23 and September 19. Some meetings were logged and some were not; the early ones weren't because we didn't think to do that, and some later gaps were due to a computer crash wiping them out because they weren't saved properly. However, there are nine IRC meeting logs here to read for your convenience.

• The first meeting was held on August 23 at 7 p.m. and lasted until approx. 10:30 p.m. All six contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as other interested parties.
• The second meeting was held on August 24 at 7 p.m. and lasted until approx. 8 p.m. Five of the six contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as four judges observing, and approximately ten other interested parties.
• The third meeting was held on August 27 at 9:30 p.m. and lasted until approx. 12 a.m. Four of the six contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and approximately ten other interested parties.
• The fourth meeting was held on August 28 at 9:30 p.m. and lasted until approx. 11:30 p.m. Four of the six contact people were present in chat at one time or another (a fifth contact person presented her findings via e-mail before the meeting, which was shared to the chat), as well as three judges observing, and approximately eight other interested parties.
• The fifth meeting was held on August 29 at 9:30 p.m. and lasted until approx. 10:30 p.m. Five of the six contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and approximately twelve other interested parties. (log)
• The sixth meeting was held on September 3 at 7 p.m. and lasted until approx. 9 p.m. Three of the six contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and eighteen other interested parties. • The seventh meeting was held on September 4 at 7:30 p.m. and lasted until approx. 10:30 p.m. Five of the seven contact people were present in chat at one time or another (in this chat Matt Britt is now counted as a bid team member), as well as two judges observing, and approximately fifteen other interested parties. • The eighth meeting was held on September 5 at 7:30 p.m. and lasted until approx. 9:30 p.m. Six of the seven contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and approximately fourteen interested parties. (log)
• The ninth meeting was held on September 6 at 8 p.m. and lasted until approx. 9 p.m. Six of the seven contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and approximately twelve interested parties. (log)
• The tenth meeting was held on September 7 at 9 p.m. and lasted until approx. 10 p.m. Five of the seven contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as two judges observing, and approximately fifteen interested parties. • The eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth meetings were on September 10, 11 and 13. These meetings were rather informal and viewership was low. Due to a computer crash, I no longer have the logs of these meetings but if anyone else does, please post them.
• The fourteenth meeting was held on September 17 at 9:15 p.m. and lasted until approx. 11:30 p.m. Five of the seven contact people were present in chat at one time or another, as well as one judge observing, and approximately eight interested parties. (log)
• The fifteenth and sixteenth meetings were held on September 18 and 19. These were the final bid meetings before the end of bidding. (log) (log)
