I find Wikipedia very useful for quick information and research aid but at times one can get "lost" when following wiki links "down the rabbit hole"; So I had an idea...WikiWorkSpace. I believe that it would be beneficial to the majority of avid Wiki users to be able to log into wikipedia and have each of their links during a particular session visually road mapped. Along with the roadmap view, a user would be provided a notes section so that after reading a particular page, one would be able to note the information he/she was actually researching and relate back to the previous points on the map.

This is a proposal for a new Wikimedia sister project.

This is a very general idea that popped into my head recently. But I think that this could be a great tool for the bulk of wiki users, as well as provides wikipedia with user demographics (from account registration) and would lead the way into Wikipedia becoming an official research tool.

Just a thought. Thanks for your time.
