Project description | If we look at today’s perception of the internet, it is normal to think of google as the “navigation” system, for others Facebook is their view of the internet. When it comes to information, Wikipedia can be argued as the central station for information, plus u are non profit, and a giant network of collaboration.
When it comes to navigating on google dough, there is a lot of different web pages, that can both be leading and miss leading. Sometimes you even would have to scroll through a ton of information to find what you are looking for.. What google is missing, that Wikipedia is doing well, is a good and clear overview of all the information organised through a hierarchy via the outline section. Where is the outline of google?? Where is the outline of all the links in the world, Organised in a hierarchy and categories?? Where is the overview of the internet? Where is the Central Station? Where is the yellow book? I believe that Wikipedia has a wide and powerful collaboration network with the right quality and mentality for a project like this What would be needed: A website A network Functionalities - save / favourites - categories (outline) - an easy and clean contribution function - a link quality / trustworthy score system - reddit alike voting system --> |
