I participated by:
- Becoming a supporter of WikiFundi: The first step towards Wikipedia in Africa and was provide a device by Florence Devouard without any hassles
- Being a dedicated listener and provided feedback were appropriate.
Participant Connections edit
- I met Stephane Coillet-Matillon for the first time, in connection with Kiwix, and proud to say he is visiting my country soon. I will become a Kiwix user in Namibia.
- I met Anass Sedrati for the first time who informed me about wikitongues and urged me to create videos for missing languages from Namibia.
- I met Gereon Kalkuhl for the first time and had inspiring conversations ranging from birds to genocides.
- I met Alex Stinson for the first time that got me interested in fostering GLAM partnerships in Namibia.
Outcome edit
- I created a wikitongues video on Namibian Sign Language
- Uploaded a picture of the Zitouna Mosque from street
- Learned much about using Wikidata
- Received a WikiFundi device from Florence
- Will become a Kiwix user in Namibia
- Became inspired to research an outreach programme concerning milk pasteurization in rural areas of Namibia
- Discussed my contributions to Wikimania 2018 with Douglas Scott
