- Steering committee:
Prior to 2019, the WikiCite grant was project managed directly, within the Research team of the Wikimedia Foundation. A steering committee formed from the volunteer event management team from the 2018 WikiCite conference has served an oversight role for the new role of a part-time contractor from the community. The steering committee was disbanded in 2021.
