The Wikimedians of DRCONGO User Group was recognized as a Wikimedia user group in 2018. This report outlines the accomplishments and activities organized by the group between september 2019 and August 2020.

September to Décember 2019 edit
East Africa Strategy Summit 2019 edit
Our group attended the East Africa Strategy Summit 2019 in Uganda hosted by Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda from September 8 - 9 2019. The event focused on bringing the East African voices to the global conversation on Movement Strategy while building a sense of regional identity and collaboration. Strategic Saloon edit
Coming back home, we did host our strategic Saloon for Wikimedia 2030 on September 27, 2019 at thé University of Kisangani.You can lean more about the activity here
Kiwix Open Day edit

Capacity Building edit
From December 12 to 14, 2019 our UG has run capacity building workshops for its members. The activities were held at thé Campus Numérique of University of Kisangani.
January to August 2020 edit
2020 was not as easy as previous years dû to the COVID19 pandemic. Most of planned activities were postponed.
Strategic Saloon edit
For the second time, our UG hosted a strategic saloon on Feb 21 at thé Campus Numérique of University of Kisangani. You can read the report here
WikiGap DRC Challenge edit
In order to keep our members motivated while staying at home (following COVID 19), we did run à one month long online editing challenge from May 20 to June 20 in order improve congolese feminin représentation on Wikimedia projects. More info WikiGap DRC Challenge here
