Teofilo~metawiki
Traslations
editIt is written on the page:
- ready = translation updated and ready for upload
- live = updated translation is where it needs to be (i.e. on the Foundation Wiki)
Since I have uploaded the translated page on that Wiki, see wikimedia:Appel_personnel, I think it can be marked as live.
In any case, thank you for your effort for the current fundraising. --M/ 14:38, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
Name
editYour name has been changed! =) Jon Harald Søby 07:41, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I've seen that. But please change again ! As I said, I would like to be called Teofilo without "h". Theofilo 10:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
liste antispam
- oui, je fais office de coordinateur de facto pour le français (en ce qui concerne Meta, pas les articles, hein ;) puisque j'ai un compte sur la wiki de la foundation, notamment, et qu'en ce moment, il n'y a personne d'autre d'actif ; pas trop eu le temps de m'impliquer dans cet aspect-là de meta, dernièrement, cependant... ;
- pour mettre les traductions sur le site de la foundation, il suffit donc de me demander ;
- c'est tout à fait souhaitable et même urgent, je dirais ;) ;
- la machine de Zocky devrait désormais être utilisée préférentiellement à toute autre méthode, parce que ça rationalise un peu le travail de suivi/coordination (même au sein d'une langue !) ;
Teofilo 13:57, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

editThank you for your help on [[:wm2007:]]. I'll put it in the next Team Bulletin. --220.130.193.226 01:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
This is now complete. Sorry to be behind in only my second week, but I have just moved to a new house and do not have internet service set-up yet.--BirgitteSB 21:43, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Fred.th–.·˙·. 22:29, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

editThanks whith translations
editHi, thanks for your help. Now, I had finished the translation and I had changed the page's status to updated (I had the translation ready and stored on my PC ;). What's the next step?. Who have to change the status to finished and publish the page?. Other thing, at the translation request page, there is not the english version, why?.
See, anything else, I had seen other pages that seems that don't make all this steps and only make new pages adding "/translation" and a multilingual bar to the pages that they want to translate. Is this method permitted?. Thanks in advance!. --Elisardojm 15:51, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
« Foundation supporte mal la traduction »
editBonjour,

Question about privacy policy
editHi,
Could you please add links to additional information to your question on [1] ? Ie, a link to the discussion in the bistro, a link to the javascript etc? Otherwise, you can't really expect candidates to give an answer with actual content in it. Thanks. Effeietsanders 10:52, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, my understanding is that this sort of thing is definitely not allowed under the privacy policy, and has been removed on several different projects in the past. I know of eight cases where people have tried to use Google Analytics, and each time it has been stopped. I'd be surprised if frwiki came to a different decision! Shimgray 23:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Merci!
editThank you for the translations of LSS! That is wonderful :) -- phoebe 23:06, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- Certainly, I'll add an "under construction icon" -- that's a good idea, as I usually work on the LSS over the period of 1-3 days. regards, -- phoebe 17:26, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
News thread
editHi. Your additions to Template:Information thread are much appreciated. However, I've removed the item for the Multimedia Usability Project Meeting October 2009, if only for now. Though the Meeting certainly deserves a mention, I think it would be best to wait until a date is announced before posting it. Thanks. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 14:39, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- The fact is that it's the news thread. What is to occur in October is not news. The fact that you don't even have a certain date for it is evidence of the fact that it's too far away to be mentioned in the news thread. What is in the news is new, or has just occurred – not a future event. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 23:48, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a news thread. Why else do we date our threads and archive them? No, I'm sorry. You don't even have a date yet. The item can surely wait until such a core detail has been confirmed. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 11:44, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hurricane Katrina is a poor analogy. You'll presumably know the date when the Project Meeting is to occur before it occurs. When you have a date, feel free to add it in there. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 09:13, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Democratizing the wikis
editRegarding [2] and my revert, see
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your message to Siko; if you think that her message on the French Wikipedia village pump page was rude because of the way it was delivered, I wonder how would you call yours? Shockingly uncivilised, perhaps? I now totally understand why women from all over the world flee this community, with frustrated males attacking them in ways they would never even dare to think of in the real world. odder (talk) 14:52, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Teofilo. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Teofilo~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
