User talk:Steinninn/Archive1
Hi
editPlease discuss deletions for Main Page templates on the talk page first, otherwise it messes up the main page. Thanks :-) Thunderhead 01:22, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. yea, sorry about that. I had two tabs open and meant to add the template to {{Ngôn ngữ Meta}} --Steinninn 01:47, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Steinninn, thank you for your interest in Foundation website. Of course, it will be great to have Icelandic page on the website :) In other words, I'm afraid we have no information in Icelandic. For your information, fundraising page seems to be planned to change for the next fundriser, so you would like to skip it for a while. My personal recommendation is to start from main page and FAQ, their translation could be on meta. For requests, please visit Translations. Thanks!
- As for main page (there is no Icelandic Main page, so I am not sure which Main page you are thinking of), I am not sure if you are ready to join this part. I would rather like to work with you together here and see the time riping. So would you mind me to keep your request for a while and later answer you? It doesn't mean I am solely concerned, if other people nods you, it is okay with me (then they know you closely).

P.S. By the way do you subscribe wikiquote-l and translators-l Mailing lists? Just curious. Aph.
- No problem. I'm not sure how much activity I will be having around here. There are two things I spotted at the foundation that could use an update. The Wikibooks logo at Our projects has been replaced with a nicer looking svg image. And as I'm writing this I see you have already updated {{OurProjects2006}}. That reminds me, I suggested a new template on Meta at {{Sisterprojects}}, would you be interested in using it at WMF? And one more thing, is there any change to change the WMF site so that unregistered visitors can edit talk pages? To sum this up, three things,
- updating the image at Our projects
- taking a look at {{Sisterprojects}}
- and IP-addresses to edit talk pages (?)
Thanks for your time. --Steinninn 06:32, 4 September 2007 (UTC) P.S. I like to edit on my own spead. Taking a look at village pumps when I feel like it. If I know myself well enough a mailing list will give me to much pressure or what ever you want to call it. There seems to be little enough activity at wikiqutes-l so I subscribed there. Nothing to lose right.
Hi, I didn't noticed we have this neat template {{Sisterproject}}. I personally love it, but I am not sure if we would like to add it to the front page, where we only listed "official" projects. I think you'd be better to bring it up Wikimedia site feedback, then we examine this idea. On the other hand, it would be an idea to add a description of some boundary websites, like bugzilla or incubator ... thank you for bringing it up. It is worthy to consider.
- As for Wikimedia:Our projects, soon to be fixed. My promise. For further need, requests on the feedback page will be welcome.
- Talk page? Hmmm ... we will suffer excessive spams? That is, as far as I know, one of major reasons the site was not editable by anyone. On the other hand, I like the idea behind your proposal. Visitors must be smoothly led to a feedback welcoming place. Do you have any alternative or like to work for improvement? :) Aphaia 09:57, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- P.P.S. Thanks for your consideration, and welcome :)
