The Affiliate-selected Board seats process welcomes your support
editHello. You are receiving this message because you are active in the field of translations <3 The movement needs you! The Nominations phase has started for the ongoing selection process of two Board members, and the timeline is quite tight.
A Translation Central is available to help translators figure out what's been covered and what's left to do. Over the course of the next few weeks, your attention on candidates' profiles is particularly welcome.
While there are four languages that are especially relevant for multiple affiliates (namely Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish), you can also add others. If you can't help: please see if you know anyone in your circle who could, and spread the word :) Thank you! Elitre (WMF) and Facilitators of ASBS 2019, 13:20, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
The Research team could use your help
editHello. You are receiving this message because of your recent activity in the Translations namespace.
The Wikimedia Research team is developing a new algorithm that automatically recommends sections for editors to add to articles. Translations have already occurred for some of the few languages that we are testing in, except for Spanish and Russian. If you have some time in the next few days, please consider translating the short message (only 6 items) we aim to send out soon, in one or both of these languages. (And if you feel like you want to support your tester peers even more, you can do so by taking care of the related instructions page.)
Thank you! Jonathan Morgan & Diego Saez-Trumper, Wikimedia Foundation Research - 18:14, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Invitation for Functionary consultation 2021
editGreetings SWMT member,
I'm letting you know in advance about a meeting I'd like to invite you to regarding the Universal Code of Conduct and the community's ownership of its future enforcement. I'm still in the process of putting together the details, but I wanted to share the date with you: 10 July, 2021. I do not have a time on this date yet, but I will let you soon. We have created a meta page with basic information. Please take a look at the meta page and sign up your name under the appropriate section.
Thank you for your time.--BAnand (WMF) 03:21, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
Problema con la firma
editHola.
—MarcoAurelio (talk) 21:33, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Your signature
editPlease adjust your signature. Signatures should not include any media. Media in signatures may be disruptive to discussions. Thank you for your attention to this matter. — xaosflux Talk 11:09, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: Done. Just letting you know anyways, media images are very common to use in my homewiki, but if here's not allowed then I'll give it a simpler style. Stïnger (会話) 12:03, 20 October 2024 (UTC).
- In general, they are always a bad idea. For one reason, it will make many many instances of an image be called and if the file gets updated, deleted, or vandalized it will can cause many problems at once. Using unicode/emoji characters doesn't have that problem though as they are in the text. Thank you! — xaosflux Talk 15:01, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
