Incomplete proposal rejected
My proposal for Wikicobference India 2011 was rejected and the reason given was that it was incomplete.
The proposal is present at This page. The only thing incomplete was my mentioning the nature of the submission. I failed to declare that it was a presentation, because frankly I missed that line while editing. It was a minor glitch in my submission. I'd request you to go through it again and if possible, please open it up for review. There are still four days for this to be given a proper thought.

Hi Sodabottle. You tagged சமயவாரியாக விக்கிபீடியர்கள் for deletion as irrelevant for Wikimedia, and wrote that it's a list of Tamil wikimedians by religion. In fact we have a whole listing for that purpose: List of Wikimedians by religion Maybe it would be better to merge the contents there instead? Regards, Jafeluv 01:13, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Message from one of the Speakers of Wiki Conference India.
A very warm good afternoon to you and other Wiki Conference Volunteers as well as the organizers.
I am one of the speakers of the upcoming conference. I also registered for the conference with the Reference ID:2989 following the confirmation of my speaker scholarship.
I have a few queries from the conference organizers and in this connection I sent an email to them on 8.11.2011.
I understand that the organizers / volunteers are responding to umpteen number of queries and probably a reply to my message is also on its way.
In this connection, if you could give me the personal email of a volunteer (e.g. Ashwin Baindur – with whom I interacted on the official email) or someone else using the “email this user” option of the Wiki, I will be thankful to you. Alternatively, if you are in a position to help and post the same message on my talkpage, I will again send the email text to you (through Wiki email) so that mutual communication is exchanged more easily.
I look forward towards a meaning cooperation with conference organizers, volunteers, participants and all other fellow speakers to make this conference a success and fruitful in meeting its goals.
Regards, Hindustanilanguage 10:04, 10 November 2011 (UTC). PS: A similar note is posted on your en:wp talkpage.
- I got the reply from the Conference Team. Thanks. Hindustanilanguage
Hi Sodabottle, I was sorry to note that you couldn't make up to WCI because of your father's ill health. I hope he gets well. Regards, Hindustanilanguage 11:42, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thankyou for the wishes. He is ok now. nothing serious.--Sodabottle 15:21, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Video Uploads of WCI 2011
Hi Sodabottle, as per my knowledge, only Sengai Podhuvan speech in Wiki conference India is available on Youtube. I am told that all presentation videos are uploaded on a website. Can you provide me the link of the website as well as the specific links of my and your friend Logi's presentations? Hindustanilanguage 06:54, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
PPTs / PPTs-converted-to-PDFs pertaining to WCI 2011
I've added the files of PPTs-converted-to-PDFs pertaining to WCI 2011 which I found on the Commons. But all presentations are not uploaded on commons although as part of policy they ought to be uploaded. Remember, such files are usually added to Wikimania website at the Slides or further information link. Hindustanilanguage 07:21, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
Hi! I just want to thank you and give you this barnstar for your help with the translation of the 2011 fundraiser! The fundraiser was the best we ever had, both in terms of the amount we collected and in terms of number of translations. We couldn't have done either one without the help we got from you and other translators. If you are interested, we made a report, which has some statistics about the translations.
And: I have one more request, and that is that you take this survey. You may have got an e-mail about it, and if you did, please ignore this. But if you didn't it would be great if you would take this survey too, so we can learn to improve the translation experience.
Again, thanks for your help with translations – you're awesome! Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:31, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
