Questions tag
For final vote, I want to submit only 2 or 3 variant of logo 9 ... Thank to help us to design them using this questions-tag : Miwiki color, with border, etc.
Thank to put your name, and you can add comment
Which color for Miwiki ?
You can suggest another colors, and vote for several colors
- Bright blue:
- Blue: Oliezekat,blue smurf ? °<;o) Treanna, SuDForcE,Mi too Hemmer, 5.1.2 - 62.39.210.15,
- I think color of 5.1.2 is the best choice if we choose no bacground option ;o) Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Red:
- Green: Oliezekat, ArnoLagrange
- Gray:
- Violet: I prefer the color of the 5.0.3 logo (not a joke, the one on the right top), otherwise the color of the 5.1.1 is also good. Looxix,
- All colors: Aoineko,Traroth
Comment & suggest: Et une 5.1.2.? en blue de la 5 ou 5.1? 62.39.210.15 05:12, 10 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Use border frame ?
You can suggest another idea
- I like without background, but "no border" take a problem : we cant cut the ant which coulnt be as big as logo with border Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Simple border, no-break lines: Oliezekat
- Middle broke line, no corner like book:
- Full like a book: SuDForcE, Looxix
Miwiki carrying a letter ?
- Yes:SuDForcE Macarel !, Looxix
- No: Oliezekat, Aoineko (I like it but too difficult to localise), moi z'aime po les letter Treanna
- Better when pushing letter: Oliezekat
Another discuss
Shadow and "pedia" color
Moi je reste sur la version 5.0.1 telle qu'elle est now ! Juste peut être revoir le "jaune" et l'ombrage des lettres? :oS SuDForcE
- If no background...Shadow take too problems of transparency... I remove it :o|
- Variant 5.1.2 use more yellow color for "pedia" ...Do you prefer it ? Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Pas de fond, donc pas d'ombre, c'est parfait (5.1.2 à conserver tel quel) Hemmer 05:40, 10 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Better mascot than logo
Interesting design. I like how you used the ant that I found as a template, and then drew one from scratch. Very neat! I think this ant would make a great mascot, which we could use all over the place! I dunno if I like the logo very much, but it is neat. { MB | マイカル } 22:06, 26 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- What's mean "neat" ? ...i dont understand :o( Oliezekat 10:20, 27 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- Neat is nice, pretty, cool.
- Thank :o)
Icon format
The logo does not scale very well to icon format and the brackets are a bit of an inside joke, but it is fun nonetheless. Erik Zachte 00:23, 28 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- We keep some height for localized text ;o) Oliezekat 12:33, 28 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- Icon format is not current problem... but not difficult to solve, I do it if I have enough time :op Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Localized logo
It's very interesting how you will localise the text for an arabic wikipedia, for example... or a korean one? Taking a glance at the International Logo Contest page, I see that it says "The image should contain the text WIKIPEDIA, but it should be separable from the logo so that it can be replaced if necessary". Sergey Tyrin 14:21, 06 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- I dont understand :o( Somebody can translate in french or explain ? Oliezekat 16:14, 7 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Anthere

- 1/ I offer to do myself localise logo variant... Im really interested and excited to do this ;o)
- 2/ Logo is a full scalable vector picture... No problem to change it
- 3/ I will give separatly all element inner the logo to easily change big parts of the logo... One picture for ant, another picture for frame alone, etc.
- Oliezekat 16:34, 7 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Another logo author have a good idea... Write 2 time "Wikipedia" on localized variant : one in english like domain name, and an another in localised sentence... I will study this idea :op Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Few ideas :
- 2 ants (collaboration aspect)
- More easy to localised design (not included text)
- More fun ant (less realistic)
- Create Paullus & Anthere logo variants
Aoineko 14:35, 7 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Tiens, jete un oeil a Wikipedia in other languages. Aoineko
- (en: arabic doesn't wordwrap; and letters aren't separate entites; the concept of an ant carrying letter-bloks is not very localizable) Srtxg 05:32, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
carrying a flower
I have an idea. How about Miwiki taking a flower into an doubly bracket? This combines the ant with Eloquence's logo. Should be funny! Wshun 21:27, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- If Eloquence is agree, I will do it on his comment page ;o) Oliezekat 23:29, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
