I usually don't talk about myself much.

The Steward Requests page requires autoconfirm status, meaning having five edits on meta.wikimedia.org; irrespective of experience and status on other wikis, such as XX.wikipedia.org. That hurts loyal good faith editors that just contribute actual content, don't discuss in meta and run into issues because of wrongful blocks. Requiring five edits to achieve autoconfirmed status cannot possibly be effective, since it is so trivially worked around by editing one's own User Talk page for a monologue rant, as I now did.

With decisions like these, Wikimedia is making it more difficult for casual editors, even long-established ones, to contribute. I regret that very much. Death by a thousand papercuts...
