Bahnstrecke Luino–MailandEdit

Sorry, I don't speak German. I don't know why you're asking me about this – my bot only does routine BSicon maintenance on the German Wikipedia. — JJMC89 19:44, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

MultiLockEdit

The behaviour of MultiLock seems strange to me. Could you take a look at Template:MultiLock/testcases please? Cabayi (talk) 22:14, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Cabayi:   Fixed — JJMC89 02:21, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks. That works great. Cabayi (talk) 05:43, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

MoreMenuEdit

Hello JJMC89! I see that you are a user of MoreMenu. There is a new version that was just released. It works in all skins and allows you to add custom links. Would you be interested in helping test it? If so, please refer to MoreMenu/beta#Installation. Or, if you'd like, I can edit your global.js and global.css for you :) Kind regards, MusikAnimal talk 02:28, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Installed. I'll let you konw if I run into any issues. — JJMC89 03:29, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Template:BS-KRZEdit

Hello JJMC89! One of your bots has recently made a change to this template on ro.wiki. The template didn't work as it should even before changing, but now it looks worse. Do you have any idea why? I am trying to import the route diagram templates on Romanian Wikipedia but I sometimes encounter such errors and I have no clue how to solve them. Any help or suggestion would be welcome. Thank you in advance! --Nenea hartia (talk) 20:55, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Jc86035, would you talk a look at this? — JJMC89 21:28, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Nenea hartia: The template not working shouldn't be related to the bot's changes. The reason the template documentation doesn't work is that rowiki's Template:BS doesn't have the |O12= parameter, which only some versions of the template have. A lot of wikis suffer from this issue, and the BS-series templates (BS, BS2, BS3, etc.) are generally inconsistent across wikis.
You don't need to import every template (particularly the little-used ones like BS-KRZ). Strictly speaking, Module:Routemap, Template:Routemap and Template:Routemap/styles.css are the only necessary pages for constructing diagrams, although rowiki already had some of the BS-series templates before you started importing templates so I'm not sure what would be best here.
All of rowiki's diagrams appear to use the BS-table and BS-series templates, but there aren't a lot of them. It would be possible to convert them all to the Routemap format (probably by using the convertbs function in Module:Routemap), or alternatively you could update all of the BS-series templates using the versions on the English Wikipedia. Jc86035 (talk) 13:19, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jc86035: Thank you very much for your explanation! I already imported Module:Routemap, Template:Routemap and Template:Routemap/styles.css and then I randomly picked some Routemap diagrams from enwiki and I tried to see if they work on my sandbox page. They did, except for those having collapsible sections. As you can see here or here the template itself doesn't display correctly the collapsible sections. Same problem with the older Template:BS-map. If you remove the line containing BS2-startCollapsible, the rest of that diagram will be correctly displayed. @JJMC89: I apologize for continuing this topic on your page. --Nenea hartia (talk) 17:03, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Nenea hartia: This is because the Extinde/Restrânge button is wider in Romanian. I'll see if I can fix that. Jc86035 (talk) 17:19, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Another issue is that the .wikitable CSS is a bit different on rowiki; since it affects nested tables, the Routemap styling will break. I don't think this should affect most diagrams, though, so I'm not sure if anything needs to be done about it. Jc86035 (talk) 17:44, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jc86035: I've noticed you edits, the template looks great now, thank you! Do you have any idea what is wrong with that diagram of Template:BS-map? --Nenea hartia (talk) 17:55, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Nenea hartia: It seems to be mainly because of the difference between the rowiki and enwiki versions of Template:BS-overlap. The enwiki version handles six layers, but the rowiki version only handles two, and so |3= is treated differently in the two templates. (Routemap, for what it's worth, does not have such a limit for overlaying icons.) I don't know if it's worth fixing, considering that this doesn't affect any of the diagrams that are actually in rowiki articles. Jc86035 (talk) 18:13, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jc86035: Thank you again for your time and assistance! If I ever need help can I contact you again? Not too often, I hope.
@JJMC89: thank you! --Nenea hartia (talk) 18:29, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Nenea hartia: No problem. You're welcome to contact me if you do need help again. Jc86035 (talk) 18:35, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Mass purging transclusions of Templates/Modules..Edit

In followup to the Phabricator ticket, I don't have tools access as far as I know.

Is a mass purge something that an interface could be written for, so that the relevant script, doesn't rely on a user having to access to something like pyWikibot on their own local shell etc.?

Alternatively could you adapt one of your bots to do the mass purge concerned? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 18:25, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@ShakespeareFan00: If you don't have a developer account, you can create one. (See wikitech:Help:Create a Wikimedia developer account#Toolforge users.) Do you mean a web UI or desktop GUI? They could be done, but I don't have experience doing either of those. I've started my bot on purging wiktionary:Template:th-pron transclusions. — JJMC89 03:54, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wikimedia ForumEdit

Hello JJMC89 As I understand you changed the order of the topices in the Wikimedia Forum. My proposed project was at first position, now on position 19. May I ask you why? Thank you! (I am a newbie) --Hodeld (talk) 10:45, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New posts should be placed at the bottom of the page, so I moved it to where would have been if you had done that. — JJMC89 01:51, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks! --Hodeld (talk) 09:52, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi JJMC89! I'm a new OC member and wish to request access to some channels here. Thank you. Olugold (talk) 04:54, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Olugold: Please let me know your IRC nick and cloak. If you don't have a cloak yet, see IRC/Cloaks for how to get one. — JJMC89 06:10, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay, I'll create my IRC nick and cloak. I'll get back to you when I'm done. Thank you Olugold (talk) 21:06, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi @JJMC89 I have created my IRC nick. My cloak request is pending.
My IRC nick is: Olugold
Thank you. Olugold (talk) 16:36, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Olugold: You should have to access to the channels now. — JJMC89 17:07, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Great! Thank you Olugold (talk) 18:24, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Bot flag removed on fiwikiEdit

Hi! Just to let you know, the bot flag of User:JJMC89 bot was removed on fiwiki due to the bot not having any activity for more than a year, as per local policy. If you need the bot flag again at some point in the future, you can reapply at fi:Wikipedia:Botit. Best regards, Lentokonefani (talk) 14:59, 17 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
