I liked all of this response but especially
Global rollbackers, global sysops and stewards are there to do the task at hand and to move on. If someone wants to hang around a site, well then they should join the community.

Please reconsider
This is unacceptable. It does not matter if you think there are a few decent candidates because -you- are a decent candidate, and by removing yourself you have done exactly opposite of what you must do. In other words, please don't withdraw - you are at the top of candidates in the view of many, many people. It doesn't matter how many others are there because -all- good candidates are needed. - As I said on IRC when you posted you are definitely one of the good candidates. In the end you have to do what you feel comfortable with but I truly believe you would be able to be a great help to the community as a Steward and have a much better chance then many in the group at getting the required 80% :).
