Steward confirmations
edit@Alexis Jazz: Please see Talk:Stewards/Confirm/2020#Steward_consensus. Confirmations have two phases: 1) user votes and 2) steward votes (they may have already voted as a user, but they are still eligible to vote as a steward for the second time).
For a real and recent example, see Stewards/Confirm/2020/Mardetanha and Talk:Stewards/Confirm/2020#Mardetanha.
Also see my comments at Talk:Stewards/Confirm/2020/Mardetanha. That may explain why a second phase is needed. I agree that the "Election Committee" was probably not appropriate; but what about stewards

- @4nn1l2: I see, I was reading Stewards/Elections and didn't think of reading templates. I was also confused because Election Committee redirects to Wikimedia Foundation elections committee which is, if I understand this correctly, completely unrelated. Putting all this aside: I don't think self-regulation (stewards holding stewards accountable) is in the scope of the table. If the flowchart at Stewards/Elections is correct, stewards are purely self-regulated. (though Foundation global bans could still apply I guess) Users can comment but appear to hold no real power in the matter. But I may still be confused. — Alexis Jazz (ping me) 08:18, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
