Editwar

Please do not remove speakers from the Public speakers list against their wishes. If you think there is a reason why they should not be listed, discuss it on the talk page. You will find a long discussion there already, which resulted in the current consensus. Guido den Broeder 02:01, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Please stop your editwar there, you will be blocked again if you don't stop editwarring. Huib talk 07:55, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

User talk:Ottava Rima

Users have the right to remove almost anything they wish from their own talk page, even while blocked, so I'm a bit confused as to why you rollbacked Ottava Rima on his talk. –Juliancolton | Talk 15:14, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

hi,
I totally agree with you, a user have the right to remove almost everything from there talkpage but I draw the line somewhere:
Vvv give Ottava a warning, and Ottava responded there, where VVV came with diffs to backup his warning, Ottava removed it after that. I do not see that a user can remove a warning while there is still a discussion. Huib talk 16:35, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Huib, Ottava removed the entire section. That shows and acknowledges receipt of the warning. What is the purpose of insisting that it remain visible like that? On enwiki, the precedent is extremely clear that a user may remove content from their user page. There is some question about removal of block notices while the editor is still blocked, but Ottava was not blocked. --Abd 17:30, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
There's been a lot of craziness about this on Commons as well. Huib, as you may or may not know, removing warnings from talk pages is acceptable on enwiki. It seems that non-en.wp users here and on Commons have found it abhorrent that Ottava removes warnings from his talk page; I just wanted to clarify why Ottava did so.
