Project and language edit

I request sysop access.

The Wolof Wikipedia does not currently have any Wolof speaking contributors. Thus far I have been unable to contact the administrator who also does not understand Wolof. Although I am new to Wikipedia, I would like to be able to set up a sub-project on the Wolof site (Bible Encylopedia in Wolof) which I would like to moderate personnally, and also develop a Wolof user interface. Thus I would like to have temporary administrator access to the Wolof Wikipedia. I live in the bush with a poor internet connection. This would be sufficient to keep an eye on new contributions, but not for major new development. Thus, most of my work will be done on monthly visits to the capital. Therefore I would appreciate at least a period of 6 months, with a view to an eventual permanent administrator status.

Thank you. 196.207.233.131 10:55, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I am an Australian and have been living in Senegal since 1993 in a small Wolof village in the north of the country. Here I am known as Musaa Sarr. I speak Wolof fluently and am quite competent in Wolof. English is my native language.

I would like to mobilise the Christian community in Senegal to jointly develop a Biblical wikipedia. That is to say a collection of articles which will help Wolof speakers better understand the context and background of God's word. A subsection of the Wolof wikipedia would seem to be a good place to start.
