About me

I am a Senior Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society (CSCS), Bangalore, and Visiting Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. I am also Professor of Humanities at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.

My work

I joined Access To Knowledge as an Advisor in February 2013. I guide the Access to Knowledge team in expanding the Indian language Wikipedias and helping to increase the number of active editors through strategic partnerships with Higher Education institutions across India. I am specially interested in understanding and leveraging digitisation efforts in Indian languages, in working towards creating digital content (on WikiSource in particular), and in designing assessment parameters that can be used in the Education Programme.
