Subhendu is a research scholar in Development Studies, focusing on the development of Himalayan mountian regions. Subhendu completed his Masters' degree in Labour Studies from India. He has a keen interest in the development issues and challenges specific to mountain regions, including sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation, and disaster risk reduction. Apart from his academic pursuits, he is interested in butterfly watching and photography. He has traveled to various parts of India to observe and study the behavior of butterflies. His hobby has given him a unique perspective on environmental conservation and economic development.
