I am a librarian and instructor of business communication.

Librarianship:

My focus in librarianship is on understanding the context of the information environment so that users can better navigate and evaluate information sources.

Teaching :

Bridging they creative and the practical, I strive to assist students "code shift" between the academic languages they've adopted for survival in academia (i.e, the 5-10 page research essay) and the needed clear and concise language of business.

Editorial work:

I am currently on the board of the WikiJournal of Humanities.

Other than that:

I'm a curler, a knitter, an obstacle course racer, a marathon TV watcher, and a donut enthusiast.
