I strongly support the proposed amendment for improving transparency. All contributors who are paid to write on Wikipedia should definitely be required to declare whom they are working for so it is clear if there is a conflict of interest. Moreover, the declaration should be made in such a way that it will be immediately noticed by senior editors or bots in Wikipedia, such as by having to be made in a special area of their Talk page for that purpose. After the declaration is checked for conflict of interest, a notice may then be posted on relevant articles warning of the potential conflict.
