My work
As an adviser for the UAE Wikimedia User Group, I focus on enhancing our global visibility and influence. My role involves promoting our initiatives and building key relationships with key stakeholders like Wikimedia Foundation, Admins and other user groups. I monitor global Wikipedia trends, looking for growth opportunities. Alongside our Project Manager, we analyze data to address content gaps in the UAE and Arab World. I organize training sessions for our volunteers and strive to maintain our visibility in global forums and conferences. My responsibilities also extend to supporting the User Group team in organizing the edit-a-thons, competitions, conferences and workshops and overseeing the finances of the activities, to achieve our goals and KPIs.
