About me
I coordinate the Swedish part of the bilateral collaborations between the Swedish International Development and cooperation Agency (Sida) and AHRI (Armauer Hansen Research Institute) and Addis Abeba University in Ethiopia, between Sida and Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique and between Sida and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam and Ardhi University, in Tanzania.
I'm also hired at the Uppsala University library to educate researchers in how to contribute to Wikipedia as a part of their Science outreach, but also support researchers at other Swedish universities to use Wikipedia for Science outreach. Over the years my work on Wikipedia have been funded by the Swedish Research Council, the Strategic Foundation, the Research council Formas and the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation.
At Uppsala University, I have since 2018 run more than 60 courses with over 1300 editors. The statistics and course pages edited can be found at my dashboard [1]
Research area
I am an Associate Professor in Biology and conduct research at the department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Uppsala University focusing on bacteria in insects, in particular vector mosquitoes and on viruses in silkmoths. My publications as listed in ORCID are found here
I was in 2022 a board member of Wikimedia Sverige where I represented Academia. I live in Uppsala.
