As for the level of understanding different languages, I have been uncertain about where to put myself. This is particularly the case when it comes to the Nynorsk written language, which is in fact a version of Norwegian. I have chosen to add myself as fluent in Nynorsk, although I make quite a few mistakes. They never intefere with understanding however. When it comes to Swedish and Danish, they are very similar to Norwegian and are more or less versions of the same language. However, some words might have different meanings and misunderstandings might occur. I can read the two languages with no problems, but I cannot write either. When it comes to German, I learned a bit in school. There are also some similarities in vocabulary, however the difference is sufficiently large to make it not immediately understandable. With the help of a dictionary, I might to a very limited extent take part in discussions. When it comes to other languages, like Faroese and to a smaller extent Icelandic, I have a certain, but very limited understanding, due to a distant relation between those languages and Norwegian (particularly to Nynorsk).
