Wikimedians of Turkic Languages User Group – is a Wikimedia User Group created by active members of Wikimedia contributors who contribute and develop Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages. It aims to promote and participate in the projects offered by the Wikimedia Foundation and to organize the Turkic community. One of its core missions is to aid and encourage people to collect, develop and disseminate knowledge and other educational, cultural and historic content in the public domain or other licenses that allows everyone to freely use the knowledge, and to distribute and modify said content for free. Also, our main goal is to develop Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages, as well as to help and encourage Turkic-speaking users and communities.

The decision to create a Turkic Languages User Group was made by users of Wikimedia projects speaking Turkic languages at a meeting in Wikimania 2019 in Stockholm. The main goal of this user group is by creating a common platform for Wikimedia users to develop Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages.
Goals edit
- Promote awareness of the Turkic Wikimedia projects;
- Support and develop Turkic communities;
- Engage the community and gain new contributors for the User Group and Wikimedia projects;
- Cooperate with other institutions with similar missions and visions to promote free knowledge movement in Turkic countries;
- Legalization of FoP in Turkic countries;
- Increase content about Turkic people in Commons.
