About me

Hello Wikimedians! Hola! Oi!

I am Colombian, British and Brazilian and grew up moving around the world.

I studied politics and history and have a Master's in Development Studies. For the last 17 years I have worked in project design, management and evaluation in issues related to education, peace building, improving livelihoods, youth and gender equity. A main feature of my work has been empowering diverse communities through innovative movement strategies. This has ranged from working with indigenous women's movements in remote regions in Colombia to youth groups in Brazil. As the new Lead Learning and Evaluation Program Officer I hope to bring in these skills and energy to our goal to build a Thriving Movement.

Since an early age I have been passionate about volunteering and have done so throughout my life, from being a teacher in Kampala, Uganda, to a volunteer in civic movements in Latin America. My personal time is spent practicing capoeira and finding any time to put a rucksack on my back to travel and interact with diverse cultures. Oh, and I must not forget, spending time with my sausage dog Rousseau (he does have quite a philosophical character..)
