“The 'non-profit' institution neither supplies goods or services nor controls. Its 'product' is neither a pair of shoes nor an effective regulation. Its product is a changed human being. The non-profit institutions are human-change agents. Their "product" is a cured patient, a child that learns, a young man or woman grown into a self-respecting adult; a changed human life altogether.” -Peter Drucker

About me

Jessica James-Hill joins Wikimedia following 3 years as the Financial Development Director for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, where she was responsible for raising $500,000+ for the Annual Campaign through events, major gifts, sponsorships, grants, and mass solicitations to support access to YMCA programming for the Charlotte community. Prior to the YMCA, she raised funds for the University of Florida in the College of Liberal Arts and Science with special emphasis and board management to the Chemistry, Geological Sciences and Physics departments. She also worked for many years as a Project Manager for the (University of) Florida Gators athletics department. Jessica is a huge sports fan (College Softball, Women’s College Gymnastics, and College Football - in that order) and a lover of travel! She, her husband, her daughter and her soon-to-be born son live in Charlotte, NC and her step-son is a Sophomore at the University of Florida!

My work

Works closely with the Endowment Director on major gift fundraising for the Endowment, including one-on-one donor cultivation, Endowment-focused cultivation events, and our annual Endowment appeal.
