About Me
I am an activist, campaigner and facilitator based out of Dharamshala, India. I have a passion for creating spaces for reflection and vulnerability to uncover and challenge systemic oppression.
I began my activism and facilitation journey as a young student volunteer with Students for a Free Tibet, working for the Tibetan Freedom Movement headquartered from the exile-capital of Dharamshala, where the Dalai Lama also resides. I have over 10 years experience in advocacy (grassroots and digital), community organising, facilitation, training and mentorship, strategic thinking and planning, capacity building, and organisation/ movement building.
I hold a B.A.(Hons) in Philosophy from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, and an M.A. in International Development with a specialisation in Human Rights from Sciences Po, Paris.
I have native fluency in English and Hindi, working spoken fluency in Tibetan, and limited fluency in French.
My Work
I work with the Community Development team as the external Facilitator for the Leadership Development Working Group.
My facilitation methodology is premised on an intersectional lens of gender, equity and power dynamics. I believe a crucial but often neglected aspect of social justice work is a conscious deeper reflection on the values that drive our work, and how we live these values in our work/ organisation culture internally and our campaigns / issues externally. This is where my intentional equity-focused intersectional lens supports me in leaning into group dynamics and designing processes that are human-centred and participatory in nature.
