Hi, my name is Jeff Howard. I'm a contract researcher from San Francisco working on the Wikilambda and Abstract Wikipedia projects. These are new Wikimedia initiatives focused on building a wiki of functions and eventually on building a system to create Wikipedia articles in a language-independent way. If you're a programmer or a linguist please get in touch. But even if you don't know much about these topics the team would still like to hear your perspective.
Over the next few weeks I'll be reaching out to set up interviews for the research. These conversations are usually 45 minutes by phone or internet about your past experience with other Wikimedia projects and what you might think of this new project. I speak English but it's often possible to set up an interpreter if I know in advance. The research team is also offering gift cards for your participation as a way to say thanks. The cards are delivered by e-mail in your local currency.
I'm new around here so please forgive any mistakes as I'm learning the ropes. You can reach me via my talk page or my Wikimedia e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
