I am most active on Simple English Wikipedia. The best way to contact me is through my user page there. At this time, I mainly use this account to contribute candidates or vote on the Translation of the week. I think it's a great project and a good fit with the goals of Simple.

I tend to support candidates that are truly encyclopedic articles such as:

  • brief articles on history or geography
  • artists, writers, musicians, or other creative people
  • academics
  • important figures in history
  • or, articles that will really open up other articles for translation

I tend to vote against articles that are difficult to translate or show little benefit in being translated, such as:

  • web jargon (so much of it remains in English and is subject to change)
  • computer science topics (again, so much of it remains in English and is subject to change)
  • articles marked as unclear or lacking in citations
  • things that are too current and likely to change soon
  • legal topics
  • anything commercial or self-promoting
