About me

I've been working in the cultural sector for more than 14 years, leading teams to deliver both digital and exhibition programs. Immediately before joining the Wikimedia Foundation, I produced a radically inclusive permanent gallery at Wellcome Collection in London. Past museums have included The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Royal Museums Greenwich (London), and the Science Museum (London).

I started my career producing online communities and multiplayer games, so I have always been interested in facilitating the meaningful participation of the public. In museums, that translated to citizen science projects and an annual photography competition at Royal Museums Greenwich, and Wikimedia collaborations at MoMA.

I'm based in London (GMT) but previously lived in Sydney, Helsinki, and New York.

When I'm not visiting museums, I like to be in the mountains, most recently hiking the Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites.

My work

I am part of the Culture and Heritage team at the Wikimedia Foundation. I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in February 2020 to grow and strengthen a community of practice comprised of volunteers, the organised Wikimedia movement, strategic partners, librarians, heritage professionals, and activists. Together, we're working to lower barriers to participation by the world’s cultural institutions in order to diversify sources and media on Wikipedia.
