I'm a retired software developer with a keen interest in law and equity. I've been working in computational Natural Language Processing since 2000. It's amazing to see advancements like Copilot (GPT-4) that have greatly improved contextual understanding, but understanding context is still one of the toughest challenges in computing.

I wish people would stop calling these tools [[AI]], as the word invokes fear based on sci-fi movies rather than expressing what it is: Machine Learning. Trust me, we software developers have seen at least as many SciFi AI movies as you have.
