Annonciata Byukusenge graduated from University of Rwanda (Ex. National University of Rwanda) in School of Journalism and Communication in 2012. Byukusenge is a Chief Editor at [1] ; Coordinator and Mentor of Data Journalism at [2] in Rwanda; Fact checker at [3] and Journalist at [4]. Byukusenge is an environmental and investigative journalist cross border and member of [5], she is based in Rwanda. She is one of 30% (women) of the sector councils in [6]. As a form News and producer presenter at [7], [8] at [9]; she engaged in investigation, writing, environmental and climate change reporting, health reporting.

In 2020, Byukusenge was awarded in 5th Edition of Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights; [10]; Fellow of [11] through investigative reporting in 2020; Fellow of Code for Africa in partnership with [12] in forestation reporting. 

In 2021 nominated by [13] to attend the Fifth Session of [14]. In November 2022, she is accredited by [15] to attend COP27as science journalist. In October 2022, Byukusenge awarded in first Edition of Advancing Biotechnology reporting, [16]. In June 2022, Byukusenge attended workshop of EAC Environmental Journalist organized by [17] in Uganda. Fellow of [18] in [19]; Rwandan Winner in the Women in News Leadership by [20], a fellow of [21], Reporting on forest issues in [22]. She attended the training about Environment and climate change reporting hosted by [23] in 2022. Attended Science Communication reporting organized by OFAB. In December 2022, Byukusenge awarded by [24] as best environmental journalist in Rwanda. βyukusenɡe attended United in Action Conference 2022 #AWiM2022, Morocco in December as Speaker. In February 2023, Byukusenge attended the Wildlife Illegal Trade workshop. It held in Kenya-Nairobi, organized by [25] and [26] in partnership with CONNECT, [27], [28] and [29].
