About me

Hello! My name is Aishwarya (she/her), and I live in the misty city of San Francisco. I'm a product designer, writer, and artist. I'm interested in systems thinking, feminism, and decoloniality. You can read some of my writing on Medium and The Wild Word. I have immense respect for the volunteers who edit Wikipedia and am always excited to meet and learn from them. My work

I joined WMF in February 2021, and my first project was redesigning The Wikipedia Library homepage. (Free access to paywalled research for Wikipedias who qualify! Go check it out.) After that I led design on the Abstract Wikipedia (AW) team and designed the blueprint for UX and UI on Wikifunctions (2021-2022). After an exciting and industrious year on AW, I joined Trust and Safety Tools as their design lead in July 2022. Our team is currently designing and building a Private Incident Reporting System in collaboration with the Trust and Safety department.
