The Capacity Exchange (CapX) is a website for peer learning and collaboration between Wikimedians, designed to connect people for the exchange of skills, knowledge, and services globally. Tochi Precious is a member of the CapX Advisory Committee. In this lightning talk, she will briefly share the project's background of global collaboration in the light of her experience.

The Capacity Exchange (CapX) is a website for peer learning and collaboration between Wikimedians, designed to connect people for the exchange of skills, knowledge, and services globally. Join this workshop to explore CapX first-hand. There will be a walkthrough on how to create your profile, list your skills, map learning gaps, and search for peers with matching skills or services. You can access it via your mobile phone or laptop.
Tochi Precious is a member of the CapX Advisory Committee and will lead the activity on-site.
Andi Inácio, the project manager, will support the workshop online.

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region?

This workshop will benefit the Wiki Indaba participants with practical experience with the CapX tool, which is a global approach for local skills development. They will also be able to ask questions and provide feedback to the project development team. Moreover, the workshop will foster on-site peer connections and knowledge sharing, which aligns with the goal of improving community health.
