Page Management Guide

This page describes the process for managing pages associated with The Wikipedia Library.

Partnerships

Creating the signup page

• See en:Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Library/Processes/Signup_Setup

Opening applications

• See en:Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Library/Processes/Announcing_partnerships
• Update the signup page and unhide the application section (if applicable)

Closing applications

• Update the signup page to note that all available accounts have been distributed
• Update The Wikipedia Library/Journals and local equivalent
• Update local equivalent of en:Template:TWLJ, if applicable

Updating for expansions

• Email the coordinator
• Post on the partner talk page
• Update signup page
• Unhide the application section (if applicable)
• Update en:WP:TWL/Journals and The_Wikipedia_Library/Journals
• Update en:Template:TWLJ

Branches

New branches

• Create a global branch page
• Once the branch has pages of its own:

• Link it from The Wikipedia Library/Global
• Create a link for the branch at the top of The Wikipedia Library
• Add a line for the branch in Template:TWL global

New branch pages

• Add the new page to the branch page linked from The Wikipedia Library/Global
• Add the new page to Template:TWL global
• Check the new page against the global checklist
• Add the new page to the appropriate Wikidata item (if applicable)

New coordinators

• List the coordinator at The Wikipedia Library/Coordinators and local equivalent
• List the coordinator on the branch page linked from The Wikipedia Library/Global

Other

• Add all new Meta pages to The Wikipedia Library/Pages
• Add all new local pages to en:WP:The Wikipedia Library/Pages or equivalent (if applicable)
