The Nigeria Polls is a campaign organized by Open Future Africa targeted at educating the Nigerian people about the need to exercise their constitutional right through their civic responsibility. More importantly, it is aimed at encouraging peaceful elections for the 2023 electioneering process. Ultimately, it is a campaign to increase Nigeria’s visibility on Wikipedia and the web at large by curating and creating content about Nigeria’s election process and the key actors involved. Anyone can contribute to this project by sharing content using the hash tag #TheNigeriaPolls2023. Understanding the need for peace before, during and after elections.

Project Scope

The 2023 Nigerian National election is in two phases. First, the Presidential and National Assembly Election is scheduled to hold on 25th February, 2023 while the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Election will hold 11th March, 2023.

The National Assembly comprises of 109 senators while the House of Representatives comprises of 360 members.

This page seeks to table enough content that will aid in improving the visibility of Nigeria's 2023 elections on the Web. In view of this we have categorized activities around the into two participatory buckets below:
