The Ghana Polls 2024

The Ghana Polls 2024 is an initiative by Open Foundation West Africa that seeks to provide accurate, unbiased updates on Wikipedia during the elections, ensuring that citizens across Ghana can access accurate, reliable information throughout the electoral process.

Ghana has long been celebrated as a beacon of democracy in West Africa and the continent at large. However, the stakes are high during election seasons, with political rivalries often escalating into violence, intimidation, and misinformation. These challenges threaten the integrity of the electoral process and the nation's stability. Recognising the critical need for proactive measures, Open Foundation West Africa (OFWA) is unwavering in its commitment to spearheading initiatives that promote peaceful and fair elections.

As Ghana approaches the 2024 general elections, fostering a climate of peace, tolerance, and respect among political parties, candidates, and voters is crucial. Historical trends, which indicate that tensions and conflicts can sometimes mar electoral periods in Ghana, underscore the urgent need for this advocacy campaign. OFWA is dedicated to promoting peace and social justice and proposes a comprehensive advocacy campaign to ensure peaceful elections in 2024.
