Email this user
editSuggest we add a "mail this user" link to this, as it would speed things up in some cases (for example mailing new CU's about joining the list)... I'd just do it but maybe there's a reason not to I'm not aware of? ++Lar: t/c 15:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Added to the local-account mode. Do we need it in the global-account mode too? Since there's no domain given to the template in that mode, it would need to assume they have email enabled on Meta. —Pathoschild 17:03:58, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- I agree you would have to assume that, yes. I think it's an OK assumption to make, although not perfect. (if some new global person doesn't have it, I'll complain to them about it and they probably soon will :) )... but local is where the bang for the buck comes in. Thanks! ++Lar: t/c 00:41, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
UserRights
editAt least for me in the https:// mode it does not work. I guess it's toolserver-related. Can we get a fix? Thanks :) —Marco Aurelio (Nihil Prius Fide) 09:28, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- I think that it comes from the tool of Pathoschild, but I'm not really sure. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 13:29, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- Was from
{{sr-user}}
- I've fixed the URL so it works now. It does, however, redirect you to a non-https:// page. That's an option Pathos may want to include, a second (UR-sec) for those that use the secure server. Best, —Marco Aurelio (Nihil Prius Fide) 14:53, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
- Was from
- I added optional redirection to HTTPS (append
&https=1
to the URL). —Pathoschild 16:12:34, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

Urlencoding
editThere has been a problem with the magic "Tools" namespace urlencoding "?" and "=". I have compensated for it in this edit by using "http://toolserver.org/" in the links for "crosswiki-ness" and "crossactivity", converting those links from internal to external. I have reported the problem at Bugzilla:32631. Once the problem is fixed, please feel free to revert. — Jeff G. ツ 20:11, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
"Not to close before" time
editIn order to prevent early closures, it would be nice to have the template give the closing time. However, that leads to some issues with volatile magic words and substitution. I have a template mockup at User:Avraham/Sandbox/SR that should work, as long is it is not re-saved. Would this be helpful, given that we create a new section underneath for comments (so that the template does not have to be updated)? Should we follow the EnWiki RfA method of requiring the transcluder to remove the comment tags around the subst: clause? Or should we just forget about it :) ? -- Avi 18:35, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
Crosswiki-ness
editHi! Only a few days ago there was still and available tool that could show one's crosswiki-ness (based on Theil index). It was disabled this week and it does not work anymore. I would like to propose to remove it from this template or <!-- comment it out --> until the tool is fixed. Cheers! Nadzik (talk) 09:24, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
No pinging
editI was mentioned with this template, but I didn't receive notification. This might be problem in some cases when user have no notification about discussion of his userrights. JAn Dudík (talk) 06:21, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
