Het laatste technieuws van de technische Wikimediagemeenschap. Informeer andere gebruikers alstublieft over deze wijzigingen. Niet alle wijzigingen zijn merkbaar voor iedereen. Er zijn vertalingen beschikbaar.
Nieuwe functies
- Op de pagina Special:RecentChanges en Special:Watchlist kun je nu een legenda zien die de gebruikte symbolen uitlegt. [1]
- Als jouw wiki de nieuwe zoekfunctie (CirrusSearch) gebruikt, kun je deze testen door "Nieuwe zoekopdracht" in te schakelen in je bètafuncties-instellingen. [2]
- De toolbar is nu simpeler; alle tekststijlen (vet, cursief, onderstreept, subscript, enz.) zijn in het zelfde menu, en het "Meer" menu wordt nu "Invoegen" genoemd. [3]
- You can now use a basic tool to add special characters to your text. You can add more characters (useful in your language) by editing the MediaWiki interface on translatewiki.net.
- De functie om wiskundige tekst toe te voegen en te bewerken heet nu "formula". [4]
Problemen
- There was a problem with the "Create a book" tool (Collection); books could only be exported to PDF format. The change has been undone. [5]
- The log-in system for external tools ("OAuth") was broken on wikis that tested the new search tool. It was fixed last week. [6] [7]
- Because of a bug, this newsletter is delivered to users using the new MediaWiki message delivery, and to community pages using the old EdwardsBot. [8]
Aankondigingen en andere oproepen
- MediaWiki 1.23wmf6 is op 12 december geïnstalleerd op testwiki's. Deze versie komt op 17 december beschikbaar op niet-Wikipedia's en op alle Wikipedia's op 19 december (kalender).
- You will soon be able to select the language of SVG images that have translations using a drop-down menu on the image page. (see example) [9]
- GLAMToolset, a tool to help GLAM groups (like museums) upload many pictures to Commons, will be added to Commons on December 17. [10]
- A Draft namespace will be added to the English Wikipedia to make it easier to create new pages. You will be able to use VisualEditor for drafts if you have enabled it. [11] [12]
