Topic restriction

edit

Would it make sense to restrict trending tags to the main topics of the instance, i.e. Wikimedia projects or other wikis? Or is there too little activity for that still? Nemo 20:06, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. wikis.world is an instance for wiki enthusiasts, not about wikis, whether exclusively or primarily. Our members have a diverse range of interests, and I think it’s good for the trends to reflect this. Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 00:10, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

AI/Misleading media

edit

I've recently noticed posts with unlabled AI or otherwise misleading media (not-obviously-fake screenshots, etc). I haven't been allowing these to trend. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 23:28, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Another post with an AI-generated image (it was declared in the alt text) just came up in the trends, so I’ve added that to the essay now. I don’t remember seeing otherwise misleading media so far (maybe I just forgot it in the meantime). Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 16:09, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
