Bots edit

Can you please exclude bots? --Erwin 11:21, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Accounts that have bot flag shouldn't had been sent the email, it was a mistake. KTC 20:20, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
But some bots haven't flag in some languages and because of date of registration and number of edits are "eligible". Please, exclude account, which have SUL and bot flag on some wiki. JAn Dudík 12:42, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think User:Pathoschild has at least one botflag. -- Lavallen 06:30, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Any progress after four years? My bot today got two mails... JAn Dudík (talk) 07:33, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Any progress 12 years later? MagnusA (talk) 07:38, 20 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

WTF? edit

There is no "save page" button... I want to add my name. (and yes, I am registered and confirmed and currently logged in. Add my name, and don't send me any more emails. Thewolfchild (talk) 18:58, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is now done, by the way. odder (talk) 21:36, 18 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please delete my name edit

I believe that I am no longer entitled to vote. My main account, where I was once a very active and constructive editor, was blocked after I fell foul of the Wikimedia External Links Project, who embarked on a punitive harrassment campaign and began systematically reverting most of my editing efforts. Unfortunately, I reacted badly to their campaign, and was blocked several years ago. Recently, I added a few new articles (that were virtually completed and had been sitting on my computer but never uploaded due to the block). To do this, I used a much older account that predated the initial block on my main account. This time, I was branded as a "sockpuppet" resulting in my secondary account also being blocked. I no longer have any desire to be associated with Wikipedia. I do not have any active accounts and therefore cannot login. The user name to which you are addressing email correspondence is BronHiggs1. Thank-you, BH

Bizarre edit

Tracked in Phabricator:
Task T316349

What a totally weird way of managing email subscriptions - it's almost as silly as putting all recipients in the CC field. Why not put an option in Special:Preferences or something? --Pontificalibus (talk) 09:36, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

And evidently it’s not working. I’ve now received two emails although my username has been on this list for years. Ponydepression (talk) 10:38, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi younger me. Another one today. Ponydepression (talk) 01:26, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I agree a switch in Special:Preferences (now we even have Global Preferences) would be desired. I'll make a Phabricator report. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 13:19, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
