trending articles - what people are editing right now

Hell no.

And if you really want to do this, instead surface recent interesting edits (new patrolled pages?) which are not attended enough. And do it as a special page which (like Special:Watchlist) filters the recentchanges table, don't reinvent the wheel. --Nemo 09:05, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Recentism is about replacing long-term content with the latest, greatest source. It's not about which articles people are editing a lot. "Trending articles" is more like "Special:Editwars". WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:27, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
