Feedback regarding travel funding for this meeting

Hello Sandiooses,

I am happy to see that you are thinking about how to extend the learning from the Wikimedia Conference to other people!

I'm writing, though, to let you know that TPS is not able to support travel for participation in this event. TPS is designed to fund Wikimedians who want to present about Wikimedia Projects at non-Wikimedia events.

That said, we can offer you funding to support participation in this event through Rapid Grants. If you browse the guidelines and criteria for that program, you will see in the Travel section that we can providing funding to the event organizers for this meeting and then you would award scholarships directly to participants using those funds.

Can I ask you to change the instructions on your meeting page and ask people to sign up directly with you if they need travel support, rather than applying through TPS (where they will be declined)?
