Conference grant application edit

Congratulations to WMUA and thank you to WMRS and the CEE Meeting selection committee. I appreciate all of the planning and preparation that your community does to prepare for the CEE meeting each year. I am posting here to ensure that WMUA and the conference organizing committee is aware that there is a new template for conference grant requests, which includes a community engagement survey that should be completed before submitting the application on or before March 4th, 2018. We will be extending the review period by two weeks to ensure there is sufficient time for applicants to update proposals after staff feedback. You can find the template for the community engagement survey and the new grant request template in the conference grant portal. I understand that the CEE community has established practices for gathering community input to plan the conference. It is possible for you to continue using your current community input process instead of using the community engagement survey, however we should discuss this to ensure that you will get sufficient information to complete the community input section of the grant request. I look forward to working with the CEE Meeting 2018 team over the next few months. I will do my best to monitor to reply to comments and questions, but I have been having some problems with my notifications lately. If I do not respond in a few days, please send me an email. It would be best for the organizing team to contact me by email at kharold wikimedia.org before submitting the grant request. Cheers, --KHarold (WMF) (talk) 19:11, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
