Hi Ketaki! Thank you for volunteering to write this blog for us! I did make some copy edits, and I do have some questions about a few things perhaps you can help clarify:

  • The session titled "How to get Hands-on on Wikipedia" what exactly took place there? The title of the session is a bit confusing for me.
  • Is "mulch-linguistic" supposed to be multi-linguistic?
  • Is there a website for Wikipedia Summit India 2013 that we can link to?

I hope my edits are okay. If I did anything in error or changed anything pertinent, revert my changes, of course. Also, if anyone would like to translate the blog into any other languages - Indic languages I figure - that'd be great! I'm also going to ping Matthew Roth, who maintains the blog for Wikimedia, he'll also take a look at the blog. It's a great one, so I look forward to getting it posted! Hello Sarah, Thank-you so much for bringing to my notice the above mentioned points:

  • "How to get Hands-on on Wikipedia" : There were majority of attendees who had no idea about wikipedia editing, so had to start right from scratch, making a User- ID, the 5 Pillars of Wikipedia, Wikipedia policies and guidelines, Wikipedia Principles etc. After that right technique of editing was briefed up.
  • Yes "mulch-linguistic" is multi-linguistic- Typing error.
  • Is there a website for Wikipedia Summit India 2013 that we can link to?

Yes! We are still working on the Making of the website.Once completed will go live.

I hope I have clarified all your doubts, if you still have any, kindly revert. Ketaki Pole (talk) 18:20, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, thank you! When do you think the website will be up? It's probably a good idea to have a link to it in the blog, but I don't want to post pone the blog too long! SarahStierch (talk) 19:55, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Copy editing edit

Hi all, I've asked my intern Alice Roberts to do a copy edit on this post, so please don't be surprised when you see that. I'll look at it after she has done so. Thanks! Matthew (WMF) (talk) 22:30, 30 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
