Sources as Wikidata entities edit

I posted to wikidata-l some thoughts on why I believe it's important for Wikidata to host metadata about sources as entities.

Regarding the question of how to represent relations between sources, the best attempt at formalizing these relations is David Shotton's Citation Ontology ([http:/purl.org/spar/cito CiTO]). It was originally meant as a solution for semantic publishing but it's been used in collaborative websites as well such as CiteULike or Crowdometer. --DarTar (talk) 07:37, 31 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
